John Kness

John Taylor Kness retired as a Director of Current Schedules from America West Airlines in September of 1999. He has been in the airline industry since 1967. Since retirement, he has done consulting work with Sabre Technologies in Bahrain and Polar Air Cargo in Long Beach.

Mr. Kness has a Masters Degree in Education from Northern Illinois University. He is a Viet Nam veteran.

He has been a member of First Congregational Church of LB for twenty-one years. John is also on the advisory board of the Urban Community Outreach in Long Beach, CA.

Since joining, John has facilitated classes on The Cold War, Russia, World Governments, Mussolini, Salazar, China and Russia in Space, Rickover, Smedley Butler, and The Opium Wars. He thinks the interaction of interested, intelligent individuals challenges him to think continually about what is going on around us. For John, this is the main attraction of ICL.
