Leslie J. “Les” Miller

I am Les Miller, and I joined ICL in early 2005. I have been a member of the ICL Board since 2015. I am currently ICL Vice-President. My wife, Kathleen, and I have been married 50 years and have 2 children and 4 grandchildren.

Before retiring in December, 2002, I worked as an attorney in Corporate Law Division of the American Medical Association for 26 years. My primary areas of practice included employee benefits, non-profit tax law and Federal Election Law.

As a member of ICL, I have coordinated a wide range of study groups, focusing primarily on legal issues and history. Topics have included The History of the Supreme Court, The History of Organized Labor, World War I, The Korean War, The Trial of Jesus, The Middle Ages, The Nobel Peace Prizes, The 1919 – 1920 Red Scare, 1968, The History of the FBI, and the BBC TV series House of Cards and I Claudius.
