The Comic Genius of Peter Sellers (On Campus)

Roosevelt BlvdSchaumburg, IL 60173-4377USA1-224-523-6497Description: Peter Sellers has been variously described by his peers as "the greatest comic genius England has produced since Charles Chaplin,” one of the most glittering comic talents of his age,” and as one who "changed like a chameleon throughout the era, dazzling audiences.” The films starring Sellers as Inspector Jacques Clouseau and directed by Blake Edwards particularly showcased his comedic brilliance. We will view and discuss the five hilarious Pink Panther films, with a surprise bonus Peter Sellers comedy in the final session. Members will be treated to some of the most hysterically funny films ever produced!

Medical Advance Directives and Medical Power of Attorney will be discussed, as well as all end-of-life options including Medical Aid in Dying, and Illinois State Bill 3499. Part One of the documentary, “The Last Flight Home”, will be will be introduced in Session One and finished in Session Two with discussion to follow. A hospice volunteer, nurse and social worker will help facilitate the discussion and answer questions on end-of-life information covered in Session One.

Join us as we step back in our history to explore the circumstances surrounding several Early American Elections in which all these terms were used, and discover that “We are not alone.”

They may have been caused by natural circumstances, accidents, negligence or purposeful actions. Studying history we know that disasters have periodically occurred. Have we learned from these experiences how to avoid or mitigate them in the future? We might think that our questions have been answered but yet many mysteries remain. Perhaps by reaching back in history we can gain some wisdom and discover methods to avert future incidents.
