Experiencing Art (On Campus)
Description: This workshop offers an opportunity to explore different techniques and forms of art, such as brush painting, pen and ink, watercolor, and drawing. All levels of experience and expertise are welcome. Participants will bring their own supplies and materials and will work independently. While class facilitators and participants can offer encouragement, ideas and suggestions to each other, this will NOT be an instructional class.

Knowledge is Power: Understanding End of Life Options and Illinois Bill 3499 (On Campus)
Description: End of life conversations can be uncomfortable, but they are important for you and your loved ones to care for one another. Medical Advance Directives and Medical Power of Attorney will be discussed, as well as all end-of-life options including Medical Aid in Dying, and Illinois State Bill 3499. Part One of the documentary, “The Last Flight Home”, will be will be introduced in Session One and finished in Session Two with discussion to follow. A hospice volunteer, nurse and social worker will help facilitate the discussion and answer questions on end-of-life information covered in Session One.

Variety - The Spice of Life (on Zoom)
Description: This eight-week study group presented on Zoom, begins Tuesday, June 11 and ends Thursday, August 6. Our sessions cover the gamut of documentary film-making, including drama, literature, comedy, music, architecture and current events. And that’s just a partial listing.

After Dinner Conversation: Philosophy/Ethics Short Stories (On Campus)
Description: “After Dinner Conversation” is a monthly eMagazine that publishes compelling “what if” scenarios of original philosophy and ethics short stories across genres. Accompanying discussion questions are provided to encourage intentional reflection and respectful debate. Copies of each week’s short stories will be sent to participants via e-mail.
